Nothing exciting but it fills the pie hole.
We get to the train station and can't remember how to get to the metro lines. After getting turned around we find our way. We take the long way, a single train but 6 minutes longer, so we don't have to bother with a transfer. We arrive at 9:40 and it's supposed to be a 10 minute walk according to the travel agency. Maps says its 15. We walk a bit then hang a left. It's up hill. Fortunately there is an escalator.
This isn't so bad. Crap a block without escalators. At least there is another escalator at the next block. A little more up hill, at least it's downhill going back. I look at the clock and we are cutting it close. We pick up the pace and find the souvenir shop. We are in time for our tour.
It's an interesting park. It was a failure in terms that it was supposed to be a private park with 60 homes. Only 3 houses were sold. However now it's a huge tourist attraction.
We wander the park some more then head back to the hotel. We have a late check out so we finish packing up and leave our bags. We have a few hours so we grab lunch nearby. It's interesting that a lot of places charge a premium for their outdoor seats. Some as much as 10%.
We can't book France trains at the Barcelona train station. Hopefully there are seats when we get there. We just book two nights hotel in Marseille hoping we can get to Venice on Saturday. The train ride is about 4.5 hours to Marseille. I sleep for an hour and we are out of Spain already. I manage to get a little work done on the blog. Yeah fast phone internet.
Can't quite get the sunset from the train.
The ticket office is closed in Marseille when we arrive. We buy a couple of two trip passes on the metro figuring we need to come back tomorrow and get our tickets. It's only a few stops to our hotel. It's supposed to be a 12 minute walk to the hotel. It's not a bad walk but McDonalds appears to be the only thing open.
I'm tired and decide to pass on eating more.
