We traveled from Davis to east of Los Angeles. We decided to take SR99 thinking it would be more interesting than I-5. It is only 20 minutes longer despite being 20 miles shorter. It turned out to be a lot of orchards, vineyards and strip malls.
Plus lots of exciting road like this.
I guess after doing another 6 plus hours in the car it all blurs together.
Waze has been great. I was little curious about its routing so far east of my friend's house but after seeing the traffic, it was definitely the right choice.
It was great to see my friends and the house they just moved into. We had a great dinner with an interesting rum cake for dessert.
It was fun seeing the Shima's. Great catching up! We even got April to hold the bossy (dog).
