Day Two Amsterdam - Part Two

The refresh hour has beer/wine and various snacks.
The cheese (solid) and chicken pastries (slits) are ok. The sandwich has the same turkey ham as at breakfast.
We head up to the room and Aparna falls asleep as I try to figure out dinner. We head to Hap-Hmm, a traditional Dutch restaurant, for dinner.
I get the pork chop. Aparna orders the special stew with sauerkraut and apple. Nope sold out. The waiter recommends the chicken stewed in beer. Nope. She settles on the meatball. I guess that's good they run out. You know they make what they make and that's it.
It's a not fancy but large and tasty.
The meatball has an amazingly soft texture. The meats are served in a well seasoned broth.
The vegetables are cooked to death. The potatoes are plan but soak up the salty broth nicely. It's definitely a local place but there are few tourist. It's cash only.
Time for a night cap. Let's try the place Kate recommended from the night before. As we head over, we walk by Louis Bar and she waves. We get to Wynand fockink but they closed at 9 so we end up back at Louis Bar and have jenever there.
